No matter what path you have taken into the Baby Boomer Generation, you have been involved in sales, whether it is selling yourself to your spouse, or selling yourself to your employer, we have all touched on sales at some point in our lives. And we are still involved in sales as we craft our Facebook or LinkedIn profile in our pursuit of reconnecting with old friends or finding new connections as we age.
Plus we have the buying power of sales. Boomers are not just numerous; we are fairly affluent. Our generation controls a large portion of disposable income and is responsible for a sizeable chunk of consumer spending. We are key influencers in the marketplace and have the ability to shape economic trends, particularly in healthcare, Technology, and leisure industries.
