Grief is What All Baby Boomers Experience

Grief is the anguish experienced after a significant loss, usually the death of a beloved person. Grief often includes physiological distress, separation Anxiety, confusion, yearning, obsessive dwelling on the past, and apprehension about the future. Grief is typically understood through the lens of several stages: denial, anger, bargaining, Depression and finally acceptance. These stages help us grasp the complex nature of grieving. Common triggers of grief include not only the loss of a loved one, but Retirement, declining health and significant life changes.

In this area of the site, we will touch upon the causes of grief including the death of parents, spouses, children, siblings, and close friends, alongside the transition from active work life to retirement.
