At 60 I feel like the best version of myself so far
Yesterday while I was applying makeup on my 60-year-old face I was thinking how I have so much more character now than when I was younger.
Youth has this wild beauty which I enjoy admiring in younger women.
But as we age, it is really our soul that comes through not only in our features, but in how we conduct ourselves in life.
Are we nice to others, do we look at the lighter side of things despite life’s curveballs, are we still working on ourselves, are we nurturing our creativity, are we taking care of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs, have we learned and grown from our struggles?
If the answer is yes, we can confidently step forward knowing we have it in us to cope with the ups and downs of the passage of time.
I’ve certainly had my fair share of rough spots and I’m sure more will pop up but I’m here for it.
Life is relentless, but so are we!
