Interview with Leslie Urbas: How to Flip the "Sleep Switch" in Your Brain

“What do you MEAN humans have an ‘off switch’ that can put us to Sleep?”

I was having a conversation with Leslie Fiala Urbas, and the subject of sleep had come up.

I don’t generally have too much trouble falling asleep, but once in a while, it’s like my brain forgets that it even HAS a ‘sleep’ function.

So I commented that, if the body must insist on needing sleep, it should at least include an “off switch” instead of refusing to sleep and then complaining about not sleeping.

You can imagine my surprise when Leslie said there IS such a switch, and she knew how to activate it.

Of course, I had to interview her about it.

And she did not disappoint. She gave some surprisingly simple tips for turning off a busy brain, some of which can be used in your bed in under 1 minute.

She also explained how to tailor these methods to different sleep cycles…

And how to address different causes of sleeplessness, like Anxiety or your brain being stuck in a loop.

So if you or someone you know has trouble sleeping, definitely check out this interview!
