Andrea has been awarded several honors, including the Wyoming Sallie Mae Teacher of the Year and the Wyoming Curriculum Director of the Year. She was also a member of two National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association national champion teams for the University of Wyoming.

She believes that education is a life-long experience we foster in each individual within our sphere of influence, that a collaboration of learners can change a system, and that we cultivate learners when we actively engage them in learning.
