SuperCrowd Social Impact Offerings of the Week:
CGB Green Liberty Notes is raising funds on Raise Green. This innovative offering is the FIRST 1-year, designated Green Bond crowdfunded debt note. The Green Liberty Notes support zero-interest energy efficiency loans for Small Businesses, reducing energy costs and strengthening communities.
Founded in October 2021, the Company is a subsidiary of the Connecticut Green Bank, the nation’s first state-level green bank. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $50,000 and a maximum target of $350,000. Proceeds will be used to support the Small Business Energy Advantage (SBEA) program, including energy efficiency upgrades, marketing, and operational costs.
SuperCrowd Minority Founders Offerings of the Week:
Africa Eats, with a valuation of $1.7 million, is raising funds on Wefunder. It is a for-profit organization tackling hunger and poverty in Africa. Africa Eats platform has 21 vetted and trained companies across eight countries that are processors, aggregators, and distributors of food and help provide food and food-related services to the poor in Africa. The portfolio companies of Africa Eats generated aggregate revenues of $36 million in 2023, growing by more than 50% per year over the past decade. Luni Libes and Jumaane Tafawa founded Africa Eats in November 2021. The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $50,001 and a maximum target of $123,999. SuperCrowd Women Founders Offerings of the Week:
IRL Social Skills is raising funds on SMBX. The company is dedicated to improving communication and social skills for autistic and other neurodivergent individuals. IRL Social Skills provides a safe and supportive environment for teens, young adults, and adults to learn, practice, and refine their social skills. The company’s approach emphasizes the strengths, talents, and interests of neurodivergent individuals, promoting the idea that they are not “broken” and do not need to be “fixed.”
Through direct instruction, Coaching, and peer interactions, IRL Social Skills helps neurodivergent people initiate, cultivate, and maintain Relationships in every area of life and at any age. Throughout the year, the company offers webinars and workshops that explore various topics related to conversation and relationship skills. These skill-building courses aim to increase self-confidence, decrease Anxiety, and take a proactive approach to Mental Health. The programs are open to autistic, neurodivergent, and neurotypical teens, young adults, parents, and professionals.
Mara McLoughlin founded IRL Social Skills and currently serves as the Founder and Director. The campaign proceeds will be used for working capital, website migration, video production, marketing, and operating expenses.
