I’ve been active since I was young—running, going to the gym, practicing Yoga—and at 23, I ventured into the dance world (which is considered pretty late by dance standards).
Even though I talk about my age a lot on Instagram, in real life I don’t let it define what I can or can’t do. Setting physical goals for each decade helps me stay strong—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Training for a half-marathon (which I still completed running) at 48 led to a hip injury, which brought me back to yoga and into a new challenge: learning arm balances and handstands—something I’d never attempted before.
Then came a rotator cuff injury that lingered for over two years. Physical Therapy helped me heal and eventually guided me back to the gym. And now? I’m learning pull-ups at 61.
“Accomplish one unassisted pull-up” was on my 2025 vision board—and I hit that goal in January! It took months of training in 2024, all while still recovering from my shoulder injury. Now I’m working on increasing my reps, improving my form, and experimenting with different grips.
For me, hitting a physical goal isn’t just about what it looks like on the outside. It’s about the patience, discipline, grit, and determination it takes to get there.
What makes you feel unstoppable?
