Daily Looks: Week Ending 11.1.2024
The week started out as a lamb and then became a lion. Well, maybe that’s not a great analogy but let’s just say it finally cooled down so much so it was too cold to eat breakfast on the patio by Friday.
I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.
Saturday
This morning, we were heading to a xeriscape design plant class, so I kept it casual yet fun. These jeans were in my last rental box, and even though they were the right length, I decided to cuff them.
I found this sweater at Just Be Youtiful and even though it only came in plus sizes, I had to have it. That’s why I knotted it on the side. I even added a skinny scarf hanging down from the knot.
Instead of just wearing flip-flops or sneakers like most people in the class, I wore these cute kitten heels that I found while thrifting in Idaho this summer.
Since the shoes are black and white, I accessorized with those colors.
You might recognize my necklace as it’s similar to my mom’s she recently wore.
Sunday
Since you could consider this dress overwhelming, I wore tan heels and a tan hat. But I had to add a third color just to break up the monotony.
I wore a turquoise ring, bracelet, and earrings. I think they pop wonderfully against the pink and tan.
Yes, the dress is a cut-out version, but I don’t think it’s too inappropriate even for church.
The floppy hat made Rob think I was ready for the Kentucky Derby, LOL.
Monday
This was not the original outfit I was planning to wear, but sometimes when you put things on, it doesn’t look the same as it did on the hanger, right?
The dress is one that most would “save” for fancy, but I always say that I have cute clothes, thus I might as well wear them.
The dress is sleeveless, so I used this button-up blouse and transformed it into a bolero. I plan on creating a video soon on how to do this.
I wore my blingy platform loafers, a long gold necklace, and my statement gold bead earrings.
Tuesday
Tai Chi day and I remembered these pants when I shared some of my outfits from 10 years ago (IG video).
It may not seem like a fall outfit, but I like colorful clothing all year.
The pants and sweater are both over 10 years old. The cardigan is one I would wear when working, except I always wore it unbuttoned. It’s only been since blogging that I thought to wear it as a shirt (funny how our brains work).
My Cariuma sneakers (bought a half size bigger than normal) are a favorite because they are eco-friendly and the company occasionally sends me $30 coupons. I noticed that yellow isn’t available right now, probably because they have more fall/winter colors this time of the year.
I wore a multicolored wrap bracelet from Just Be Youtiful along with gold earrings.
Wednesday
We are off to the vet today because Piper has been having some discharge. Instead of wearing a blazer, I opted for a menswear vest.
Even though I have one very similar to this vest, I requested this in my clothing rental box because it’s always nice to compare brands and materials.
I wore a thrifted Givenchy sweater under it that I’ve showcased with many different looks (and one of those times I wore these same boots).
My friend gave me the brown skirt years ago in Denver, and at first, it seemed too short until I paired it with tall boots. I love it in the winter with tights too.
Notice the earrings. Those are decorative tassels that I bought this summer at the fabric store. I’ve experimented with them 3 ways in this video.
Friday
It’s layering season even here in Arizona. Can you tell that I am wearing 3 different tops?
My white ruffle sleeve top was first, then the lime green and white striped sweater (which is very thin). The sweater sleeves are longer than the white ruffle, so I just pushed the sweater sleeves up on themselves so the ruffle would show.
Then the long green cardigan I ended up knotting the ends and twisting them while putting it over my head to create a shorter sweater (I’ll make a video and share it in my email soon). I did the same thing with the sleeves…they are long, so I tucked them under the green and white sweater so the white ruffles would still show.
Insider detail: Both sweaters were from Just Be Youtiful’s sidewalk sale. Only $10 each.
I cuffed the jeans to show off my leopard booties and wore cactus earrings.
