Daily Looks: Week Ending 1.19.2024

This week was a mish-mash of styles, colors, and clothing items. The weather is actually warming up a tad but I’m still wearing sweaters and boots.

I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Saturday

Dress: Necessary Clothing-thrifted ~~Boots: Impo

I found this dress in my “winter” closet and figured I should wear it. It’s a little on the short side, so I could use any of my tips for wearing a dress that is too short.
I could, but I didn’t, haha.

Since it’s winter, I decided to layer under it (both with a turtleneck and sweater tights) and then make it seem more modest with tall boots.

What you don’t see is that I’m wearing my fleece long underwear under both the turtleneck AND the tights.

The dress is form fitting, which isn’t my usual, but I decided why not?

I added a scarf clip at the top of the dress to look like a necklace. This unique scarf clip is in my friend’s Etsy shop for only $15.

Sunday

Pants: Express-Your Revolving Closet~~Sweater: Cupcakes & Cashmere –Fashom~~Booties: Diba-DSW

I was excited to get these sweater pants from Your Revolving Closet yesterday. I had a similar pair when I lived in Denver, but purged them when we moved thinking I would NEVER need sweater pants in Arizona (I was SO wrong).

Because the pants are a knit I could easily pull them up enough to belt them so they weren’t too long. I must admit, I adore them. They seem so glamorous, but I think they are a perfect rental item because they aren’t a year-round item.

The lime green cowl is also from my recent Revolving Closet box. I have this thing with lime green lately as you can tell from my previous post about colors to wear with lime green PLUS my headband and glasses.

Insider tip: Get a free 30-day trial for Your Revolving Closet with no risks as it is easy to cancel.

BTW, lime green and light blue are a fabulous color combination, don’t you think?

Are you impressed with my beautiful bow in the front? I found the easy way to always tie a bow so it stays horizontal this way.

Monday

Pants: FRNCH-Your Revolving Closet~~Shacket: Jach’s Girlfriend-thrifted~~Boots: Truffles

I know I just wore the lime green cowl yesterday, but I only had it on half the day, so I figured I’d wear it again today.

It’s not my favorite look. The pants are too big and the inseam hangs down, but I’ll keep it on until after our dog training session, and then it’s all about packing more boxes for moving.

Yet I really like how the lime green breaks up the red and neutrals wonderfully.

This shacket is one I wear every winter it seems (as seen before). And I was excited to mix prints with the heart shirt and buffalo plaid.

I would have worn my ivory rancher’s hat except it’s packed away.

Rob said it was an Annie Hall meets lumberjack look.

Tuesday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 1.19.2024 &Raquo; Tues2
Poncho: Banana Republic Factory~~Boots: Rocket Dog

It was time to wear this sweater dress yet I wanted to make it casual. So I threw this poncho over it and added my floral combat boots.

The poncho seemed overwhelming by itself so I added this blingy belt from Goodwill. I seriously find the best belts while thrifting. (I might have worn a scarf and a belt except all of my scarves are packed away).

And of course, I wore my fleece tights. If you haven’t tried them, I seriously suggest looking over the options. There are many that are sized instead of one size fits all and there are some that are footless so they don’t compress your feet. Find them on Amazon.

Since we were taking the dog out walking after we got dressed today, I even added leg warmers. I bought them for Pilates class but have been wearing them more for dog walking lately.

Other times these items were worn:
Dress: Worn with a leopard coat and sheer top over it
Poncho: Busty women’s fashion–unbelted
Boots: Styled with a puffer jacket

Wednesday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 1.19.2024 &Raquo; Wed 2
Jeans: Anthropologie-Goodwill~~Vest: Express-Your Revolving Closet~~Sneakers: Cariuma

Since I can’t have my kitty supervisor anymore, our robot vacuum (Vern) decided to step in, LOL.

I was pushing myself to style this menswear vest from Your Revolving Closet in a different way. It tickles my fancy to wear a vest over a jacket. It’s something we’ve done a couple of times in the past and it’s warm and unique.

You haven’t seen my white sneakers lately since it’s been so cold, but today is warming up and I have a lot of layers on the top half, so I broke them out.

It’s a very neutral outfit except for the earrings. Hey, I had to pop in some color somehow, LOL.

Camo jeans aren’t high on the trend list right now, but I love this pair because they are velvet.
And you’ve seen this jacket before when I styled the same kind of idea. My mom dyed it years ago, and it’s a vintage piece from one of her friends.

Friday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 1.19.2024 &Raquo; Fri
Jeans: Paige-Goodwill~~Blazer: J. Crew-thrifted~~Booties: Dolce Vita-DSW

Since we talked about flare jeans on the blog this week, I decided to pull out my thrifted pair of high-end black flare jeans.

I paired them with a color combination not seen very often: orange and red. And then had to accessorize with a color that would stand out. This necklace was from the time we worked with Chicos, and I love the multiple layers with it.

Since all of my clothing was solid, I added print to the mix with my ankle booties and earrings. And the statement glasses pulled in an eclectic vibe.

Thank you
