“Unlock the potential of collaborative healthcare systems and revolutionize your patient experience!”

“We have to look inward and take a long, hard look at how do we work better as physicians to ensure that we remain well and change the culture of medicine, because the culture of medicine is also dysfunctional, and so we can’t blame other people for that.”

Peter Yellowlees MD is Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at UC Davis, where he

directs the UCD/UCI Fellowship Program in Clinician Wellbeing. He is also CEO of

AsyncHealth Inc, a telemedicine company he co-founded. Previously he was the inaugural Chief

Wellness Officer at UC Davis Health (2018-22) and held the Alan Stoudemire Endowed

Wellbeing Chair in Psychiatry. He was President of the American Telemedicine Association

(2017-8) and has conducted research in the areas of psychiatry, telemedicine and physician

health. He has written over 250 academic papers and book chapters and 7 books, as well as over

180 video editorials on psychiatry for Medscape. He is regularly invited to present lectures

Sapna Shah-Haque Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Sapna Shah-Haque, MD is a board certified Internal Medicine physician. She was born and raised in Kansas, and attended medical school at the University of Kansas [KU] School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at KU-Wichita as well. After experiencing burnout herself, and watching other physician colleagues burn out, it became a passion of hers to look into different aspects of burnout. While the system does need to change, as it is broken, this podcast is a way to reach physicians and possibly shed light on what is not an isolated situation.
