Are You Abundant in Crap?

www.katharinegiovanni.com

Are you living your best life?

No?

Do you quietly dislike the people who post about the fantastic things going on in their life?

Good for them you say out loud, while you silently wonder what you’re doing wrong. Why can’t my life be like that?

Actually, you’re not doing anything wrong believe it or not.

Plus, please don’t forget that people post their BEST stuff on social media. Their life might be falling apart, but you’ll never know it. So don’t believe everything you read.

Listen, we all have abundance in our life, you just might not be “positively” abundant right now.

You could be abundant in crap. The negatives of life.

It happens.

Take a look at your life. Are you abundant in sickness, financial Stress, relationship troubles?

That’s abundance too. Just not the “type” of abundance you’re looking for!

So if you’re abundant in negative crap, then it might be time to focus on something else.

Change your perspective.

How many of you think you don’t deserve it? How many of you think you’re too old, too young, too this, too that?

It’s never too late. Your future might not play out the way you envisioned it years ago, it might play out better! Besides, you weren’t ready for it then anyways.

You’re ready now though right?

So here’s what I want you to do. I would love you to focus on moving into a new way of thinking. The “I got this” attitude that I often talk about.

Easy for you to say, you tell me.

Not really. The “you know what” hits my fan too…

  • Took four years, 10 operations, radiation, and over 15 months of chemotherapy to win my war with breast Cancer. Happily, 10 years later I am cancer free and still here.
  • Helped my spouse through various surgeries.
  • A number of horrible financial hiccups (yes, I have them too. Medical bills are awful and almost sank us).

So you see I have my down moments just like you do. Days when you just want to pull the covers over your head and stay there. The good news is that I don’t stay down there too long because it doesn’t serve any purpose and only makes me feel bad.

What does help is getting back up on that horse and riding in a new direction. Keep trying. Keep moving forward.

Surrounding myself with some really close friends who know when to circle the wagons around me also helps a LOT! I cherish my friends and family and we lean on each other through good times and bad.

That’s life. A series of ebbs and flows like the waves in the ocean.

So here are a few suggestions.

Focus on the good things you have in your life and be grateful for them.

Focus on the great Relationships you have, even if you only have one positive person in your life. Even if the only positive being in your life is a cat or dog. That’s something! Find positive people and bring them into your life.

Here is the big one.

Forgive people.

Your anger hurts YOU the most. Forgiving them doesn’t make what happened right. It merely helps YOU feel better.

Can’t forgive someone? Walk away from it for a bit. Take a vacation from that anger so you can breathe for a while. Circle back later.

Most nights before I go to bed, I’ll sit and think about the things I am grateful for that day, even if it was a crap day I do it anyways. Could be anything. Some days all I can be grateful for is that I am still alive and have a roof over my head. It happens. Focusing on the good things helps ground me in the positive.

Do this every night for the next week and your perspective will change. Why? You’ll see the good things in life. You’ll see the joy.

Looking at the good in things is a heck of a lot nicer than always seeing the bad right?

Hey look at it this way, maybe those headaches will finally stop!

Until next time my friends.
