Daily Looks: Week Ending 11.24.23

It was an interesting week for my daily outfits. One day I didn’t love and two of the days were a bit matchy matchy.

I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Saturday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 11.24.23 &Raquo; Back Massage 1

I bet you weren’t expecting this photo for my daily outfit. LOL. I actually stayed in my pjs for the day because I was fighting something.
And our back massager (which is supposed to have some deals over the weekend) was my lifesaver. You know how your muscles ache after laying in bed for so long? I would come out and have this massage my back for a good 20 minutes at a time. It was heavenly.

Sunday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 11.24.23 &Raquo; Sun 2
Pants: ~Shrug: from Just Be Youtiful~~Mules: Ccocci-Goodwill

These pants are truly something else. They were an impulse buy when I saw them online in an Instagram ad. My mom recently took in the waist so they fit better, and I thought they would be perfect for the day.

I decided to make the outfit totally wild, with some print mixing on the top half. The shrug is fuzzy yarn, so I’m also playing with loads of different textures in this outfit.

Did you notice the brooch above the closure of the wrap? I figured if I was making the outfit bold, I might as well add even more bling and sparkle because the gold earrings aren’t enough, haha.

The only item that is neutral is the mule boots. Which were a whopping $8 at Goodwill last year and I vacillated whether to buy them or not. I’m so glad I did because I wear them often.

Monday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 11.24.23 &Raquo; Mon 2
Pants: Old Navy~~Sweater set: Astr~~Sneakers: Cole Haan-thrifted

This shrug sweater set is very similar to the sweater that my friend, Shelbee was wearing in her absurd post. I remember seeing a shrug like it in Zara and thinking how silly it was. But after seeing it a couple of times at different retailers, I like the fact that it is so different.

The sweater material is very soft and warm, so it’s perfect for the cooler weather we are having.

I kept the outfit in a very autumn color scheme with mustard jeans (shown here worn with all kinds of different colors). Since these are skinny jeans, I thought the modern sweater twinset kept it contemporary.

We are off to dog training today so it was comfy and casual today and I even went very minimalistic with all of the accessories.

However, I did add color to the neutral look by wearing orange sneakers and earrings.

Dress: eShakti~~Sweater: Zara~~Shoes: Ccocci-Goodwill

I polled my email readers this summer to ask which dress out of three on eShakti they thought I should buy. And this one was the winner. While it’s very much a summer dress, you know me…I had to make it work for the cooler temperatures.

Insider tip: eShakti is a site based in India that will basically customize clothing to fit your body. And it’s not even expensive. Most dresses are under $70 and then customization runs maybe $20. That’s less than you spend for a dress at Macy’s that you need to have altered. My link will give you $50 off your first purchase which is an incredible deal.

I thought I’d throw a sweater over the dress, but of course, it wasn’t that easy. This sweater had the same colors in it, and even the fur pockets went with the abstract print of the dress. But the sweater was too long and made me look frumpy.
Wanna see the sweater worn normally? Here it is with a shorter skirt.

So I put it on upside down. Because the neckline is big enough, it worked (this won’t work with a non-stretchy crew neck) and I even love how the “v” created an uptick in the front.
I pinned the sweater together at the back of the neck to keep it in place. Only because otherwise, the fur pockets landed on my boobs, and I thought that was weird.

I know I just wore these mules earlier this week, but I liked them as a neutral shoe. My faux ponytail is a lifesaver when it comes to a bad hair day.

Wednesday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 11.24.23 &Raquo; Wed 3
Dress: Banana Republic~~Shawl: hand knit by me~~Boots: Embassy London-won in a giveaway

I knit this shawl this summer, and I finally realized that it’s cool enough to wear it. I’m not loving the look of it today, but sometimes the first go around with a new item is like that, right? You don’t have a feel for it until you try it with a bunch of different things.

You could call it a failure, but I call it learning. And you’ll see the shawl again with an outfit that feels better to me. Because knitting is an expensive hobby in time AND Money. So I hate to let an item just sit around.

The shawl is longer in the front and wraps around the body, but is shorter in the back. That’s why I went with a dress. You’ve seen this dress styled as one that is too tight (which is why I liked it with the longer shawl). But because the dress is sleeveless I needed some warmth.

I chose this grey lace shirt under the dress. The color combination is so drab to me, but I was hoping it would put the focus on the shawl, I wouldn’t say I like it.

I wore mint/turquoise accents with my combat boots, “brooch” (which is an earring), my real earrings, and glasses.

Any ideas on how to style it better? I always love to hear your opinions.

Thursday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 11.24.23 &Raquo; Thurs 2
Skirt: Banana Republic~~Top: Nordstrom Rack~~Sweater: Hand knit by me

Happy Thanksgiving. I was excited to wear this faux leather top for Thanksgiving dinner because in case you spill on it, it’s easy to clean up, LOL. But you can’t see it much because I needed a sweater over it in the morning.

I paired the top with my summer wrap skirt that you saw as part of a set for dinner when we went to Puerto Rico. I wanted to prove that I could wear it in the cooler months with tall boots and layers.

I hand-knit this cardigan ages ago, and the best part is the back that has a Mobius design. I took some photos that should end up on my Instagram feed one of these days. It doesn’t stay up on my shoulders all that well, so I’m extremely happy I have my magnets to hold it together. It’s the fix I never knew I needed.

These tall white cowboy boots have been an absolute favorite since I bought them last year at Target. I’m surprised they didn’t sell them again this year because I feel like they go with everything.

Friday

Daily Looks: Week Ending 11.24.23 &Raquo; Friday
Jeans: Mott & Bow~~Cardigan: Chicos-thrifted~~Boots: Cecelia New York-won in giveaway

I have to admit, I felt pretty darn good in this outfit.

It all started with this blue, long-sleeved top that I bought this summer when shopping with my mom at Macy’s. It was discounted to $6 but I couldn’t wear it in the summer because of the heavy material.

So today I paired it with one of my favorite long cardigans I thrifted when shopping with my stepmom in Denver. I originally found it for her, but she thought it overwhelmed her. You could say the same about me wearing it because I’m petite. But I decided I could make it work and own it.

I thought the charcoal grey jeans were a perfect pairing. These are a slim boyfriend cut from Mott & Bow. I actually sized up to make them more relaxed.

And then the metallic boots I won years ago kept the look interesting, right?

Thank you
