Business Began, But Now How Do I Scale??

The effort was highly challenging, but you did it—you started your own business. Clients love you, so they continue to send you referrals. You hoped you would have enough clients to stay afloat a while back, but now you are hoping for only a few more at a time. You realize that it may be the best it gets if something doesn’t change; worse, you feel stuck. This stage is known as “Growing Pains.”  Our insightful guest blog is provided by Amariah Pinchback, CEO and Founder of Eagle’s Wings Virtual Services.

How Do I Scale My Business?

Business Began, But Now How Do I Scale?? &Raquo; Business Woman 3658400 1280 1024X682 1

I remember wearing all the hats in my business. Deadlines and tasks went by the wayside because I was drowning in my to-do list. I had a vision but no time to give it attention. I had started this business to help others, but as it grew faster than I could keep up with, I knew something would need to change.

It takes dedication to details and much work to achieve smoother sailing for business, which is the dream of most entrepreneurs. When I began my business, I had a dream to help other business owners reach new heights with administrative and systems support for their businesses. I discovered the joy of being able to run my assistant agency. With the administrative support and systems in place, I could rediscover my passion and tap into what brings me joy.

It’s easy to get lost in the daily grind. And as much as you want to control your business, you can only do so much alone. To grow your business, you must trust others to help you get there.

Tips for Scaling your Business:

  1. Remember your “why” for beginning your business to rediscover your joy.
  2. What will be your reward to make this work?
  3. Upon reflection, recognize a return of enthusiasm to do what it takes to make it work to your delight.

If you are enthusiastic after reflecting on why you began and what you hope to achieve, the time is today to realize your next steps for achieving your long-term goal. Map out the plan and commit to adhering to it daily alongside ongoing learning.

Identify Tasks to Delegate

Recognize your daily routine and typical tasks. Begin capturing your routine in a spreadsheet. Note which tasks can be delegated and which ones remain in your hands. The next step is to include the approximate time each daily task requires on average to realize the time savings by hiring help.

 The Virtual Assistant

Virtual assistance can include scheduling, email, project management, social media, billing, and marketing. In short, the service can help you do what every business needs to operate efficiently. Outsourcing enables you to add time to the day to focus on the business avenues you prefer. The ability to focus on your selected business routes is more likely to contribute to your success.

Share your vision for the service in detail with each person you hire to close the uncertainty gap and satisfy all parties. Again, this will increase your chances of reaching your target.

If you continue to do everything yourself, you’ll reach Burnout. But if you can distinguish tasks to delegate, you’ll gain hours of your time back that you can use to focus on your business and passion.

Lastly, implement systems to support your business. Systems help you organize your information, track your progress, and automate your business—saving you time and resources. You can have a system for your leads, social media content, billing, etc. The best part is everything will be streamlined, and no matter how many clients you attract, you’ll have the systems to support them.

Finally, consider whether now is the time to reignite your passion and reclaim your joy. You’re just a conversation away from claiming hours of your time back and being ready to soar!

In Conclusion: Business Began, But Now I’m Stuck, How Do I Scale?

By doing what you love, your audience notices. Precise communications distinguish your work from the others in your field to pique interest, which ultimately converts into your branding program. Accordingly, with the help of a virtual assistant, you will more adeptly scale your business step-by-step.

Elinor Stutz International Best-Selling Author

Elinor Stutz broke through barriers long before doing so was popular. Against all the odds, she defied the theme “women can’t sell” to become the top producer at every company she ever worked for, ignoring attempts to get her to quit.

Eleven years later, I lay motionless on a stretcher with an irreparably broken neck. Two visions appearing before me, and a brilliant gold light encasing my entire body, gave me a reason to believe I would recover. I wholeheartedly knew I was about to empower audiences far and wide. At the moment, I negotiated a full recovery with the promise to be of service. The surgeon and hospital staff anointed me with the title “The Walking Miracle.”

As the CEO of Smooth Sale, Stutz adapted the motto, “Believe, Become, Empower.” Believe in yourself; Become the person you envision; Empower your audience to do the same. Stutz is on the Social Media Committee for Inclusion Allies Coalition devoted to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
