History in the Making: And Now Joined at the Chip
History is a symphony of echoes heard and unheard. It is a poem with events as verses.
– Charles Angoff
When Johannes Gutenberg combined the printing press with moveable type in 1450, he ushered in the era of mass communications in the West, spreading learning into new social realms. Literacy increased across the globe and new ideas produced rapid transformations in social and religious contexts. For centuries since the printing press has provided people like you and me the privilege of direct access to history, in the form of storytelling and more.
We are proud to embrace the spirit of such priceless storytelling, as we add History Chip to our expanding list of special global alliances –each amplifying visibility of the written word “for good.” History Chip is working to make the stories of everyone part of history. The impact of that is huge. People living ordinary lives – working people, poor people, immigrants, moms – are no less part of history than the rich and famous. In fact, the lives of most of us really are the larger story of our time. For much more about History Chip, enjoy my recent GameChangers Interview with Jean McGavin, Founder.
Changing the Game: By Revolutionizing The Way We View History
Quoting Jean; “Our memories are fallible, that’s why we want your story to expand the truth of our world. History Chip is your voice, your writing, your story, and an essential part of the majestic history of our world. … The story of our world is not complete until you add your story.”
I’ve added my story –Isn’t it time to add yours?
