Understanding Recovery

As Baby Boomers navigate the challenges of Aging, recovery becomes an essential focus for maintaining overall well-being. Recovery is one of those deceptively simple words that actually describes an entire landscape of human experience. Simply put, we recover from anything that overwhelms our capacity to stay whole. We recover from disruptions from our physical, emotional, mental social, or spiritual equilibrium. Recover is the process of returning to coherence or building a new one. This is what our Experts in this area of the site are begining to explore.

Recovery of the mind has internal storms such as Stress overload, Anxiety or fear cycles, Depression or emotional numbness, identity disruption or just too many responsibilities. Recovery of the heart has emotional injuries that are often invisible but profound and could include Grief, betrayal, loneliness, shame or emotional exhaustion. Other recoveries include recovering from illness or injury, recovering from financial setbacks, career upheavals or Family conflict, and recovering from loss of meaning and direction. Recovery is not about going back. It’s about going forward with more Wisdom, more Clarity, and more alignment.
