Retired LtCol Kathy Gallowitz grew up as a Navy ‘brat,’ served nearly 30 years as an Air Force Officer and is married to an Army combat Veteran. She is the Founder & CEO of Vanguard Veteran, LLC, author of “Beyond ‘Thank You For your Service,’ The Veteran Champion Handbook” for Civilians and has Masters degrees in Nursing and Political Science. As an award-winning businesswoman with first-hand experience hiring Veterans, Kathy coaches employers to excel with Veteran-hiring in ways that boosts company productivity and reduces turnover.  Her “Veteran Talent Academy” equips employers to find, hire and leverage Veterans’ skillsets. 1. Designed and executed statewide outreach office for the Ohio National Guard in response to 9/11 to educate and engage civilans in support of troops and their families.
2.  Established and grew a surgical practice from scratch w no business or health insurance experience growing it from one to 3 surgeons in one county to three from 4-25 staff in 6 six years.  First hand experience hiring Veterans.
3.  Helped son survive leukemia and he is now a poster child Cancer survivor.
4.  Initiated the Sexual Assault Response program in 2006 in largest Air Refueling Wing in the Air National Guard nation and supported the nation's council that shaped implementation.
