  1. Good Reason #3 for Business Owners to Take Time Off Anne Bachrach 2:42

Today we are talking about third good reason for Business Owners to take time off, which is the fact that You Are Not a Robot and You Need to Live a Good and Balanced Life.

Having a life outside of work is very important. In fact, it is SO important that you should actually prioritize it. Taking a break should be a mandatory part of your schedule. You can set this time aside for ANYTHING else: family, friends, hobbies, vacation, Sleep, Entertainment… anything that you WANT to do. Just have one rule… no business when you are taking time off!

You are a human being, and as such, you have a right and a need to do things that you enjoy. You and your business will both suffer if you do not take the time that you need to get away, even if it is just for an afternoon. Will you miss some opportunities by pursuing a life outside of your business? Maybe… but you will lose a lot more if you don’t give yourself the time to live a life outside of the workplace.  I recommend you don’t watch the news or read industry publications for periods of time. Doing these things doesn’t allow you to really unplug and enjoy life.

Over the past 3 days we are explored 3 very good reasons why business owners should take time off. So, starting today, make it a point to schedule more time off in your calendar. Even if it is just an hour or two more a week, it is still better than nothing! Stop putting yourself at the bottom end of the list! You need time away from work, so prioritize it like you do the other important activities. Decide to schedule quality time off from work related activities starting today! Doing this will accelerate your business results.
