Bladder leaks or incontinence?
True story, I was in the bathroom at the gym, doing exactly this and the instructor caught me and said my butt looked fine. I told her I was checking for pee stains, which was true! That was the inspiration for this reel. 🥳
I sometimes wear bright-colored leggings or bodysuits and if you catch me doing this in a mirror, I am NOT checking out my glutes – I’m checking for leaks!
I’ve shared before that ever since I had my first baby 23 years ago, I started experiencing bladder leakage. Once I was pushing my baby’s stroller and I wet myself so badly I had to cover my backside with a jacket tied around my waist.
I am much better now, even at 60, but the truth is that with Menopause, bladder leaks can make an appearance again!
Aside from doing Kegels and exercising the pelvic floor, I wear light incontinence pads, which I am glad I have with me on the trip back from California (writing this during a long layover on the way home).
The point of this post is to let you know that if you have bladder leakage or incontinence, due to having babies, or hormonal changes, you are not alone!
Have you experienced leakage? How do you deal with it?
