Daily Looks: Week Ending 12.27.24
It’s a long daily outfit showcase including outfits from my birthday to now. I didn’t include EVERY outfit, but most of them. If you like hearing more about how I put an outfit together or want to see more details, I am posting many of these on Tiktok.
I think you would enjoy signing up for the emails below. In addition to the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits about what’s going on in my life, along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.
My Birthday
This was my birthday outfit. I wanted to wear this thrifted textured skirt but couldn’t figure out a top for it, so I layered the skirt over a thrifted sequin dress.
Because of the chilly weather, I layered a sparkle ivory cardigan that Lesley gifted me for my birthday purchased from Just Be Youtiful.
And I added these pink boots with lace sticking out from the knee socks.
Monday
Today we were off to Yogalate class and afterwards had to run errands.
So I wanted to wear something that would work for a workout and also look cute for errands.
The velvet joggers were a great thrifted buy and I love them for the winter. I thought the lime green puffer vest was a great color addition and went well with the festive beanie.
The leopard sneakers are the ones I had to “fix” because they rubbed against my ankles. So I added faux fur trim around the edging and it makes all the difference.
I used a sewing glue to keep it in place.
Tuesday
I was helping out at the local boutique, Just Be Youtiful today and wanted to wear one of the dresses I had purchased from the store.
The gold dress is sleeveless so I layered it over a gold turtleneck I’ve had since my working days.
Then to make it holiday-worthy, I wore green sneakers and added a green scarf as my belt (held together with a Christmas tree brooch).
My green holiday cactus earrings were a perfect addition.
Wednesday
I bought these magenta cords on my birthday using my birthday credit at LOFT. Considering they were on sale, and then 55% off, AND I had my $15 birthday credit, they were less than $10.
And the pants fit perfectly without me having to shorten them or take in the waist.
I wore this fur pocket sweater from Zara I’ve had for ages. Because the outfit seemed dark, I added sparkle.
Sparkle with my boots, necklace, and earrings and I even added a brooch on each of the pockets.
There’s no such thing as too much sparkle. Right?
Thursday
Today I was taking my mom to her wellness doctor’s appointment, so I wanted to combine professional, fun, and holiday vibes all in one.
While most of the Tiktokers thought I should have worn tights, it was quite warm but maybe, is it too sexy?
I’ve used this red plaid skirt in one of my color recipes in the past and wanted to include glitter. The grey shirt is glittery in person but hard to see in the photos.
The green velvet blazer is from last year and I used my Darling Doll necklace as a brooch on it. As well as a bow brooch on my waistband.
Friday
Today was a “Thriftmas” party put on by Cathie who you see on the blog occasionally.
My friend, Beth, just sent this Tommy Bahama dress to me so it’s preloved. The belt and boots are also preloved.
I chose to add a fringe topper over the dress to give it that “extra” that I love. Both it and the hat are from Just Be Youtiful.
I am wearing these sequin booties a lot because not only do they add sparkle, but they are super, duper comfy.
Sunday
This green dress was in my last Your Revolving Closet box and even though it’s an off-the-shoulder style, I wanted to jazz it up for this wintery day.
First I layered the green dress over my pink sheer dress (styled over a white dress in the past).
Then to show off the pink tulle more, I used a cardigan clip to hold up the green skirt.
Then I wore this ivory vest upside down (worn the normal way years ago).
I included silver with my cowboy booties, belt, the clip holding my vest together, and earrings.
Monday
Obviously, I’m in a layering skirt mood since this outfit is very similar to yesterday’s look.
This outfit was inspired by this pin. After looking at the pin again, I realized she styled the skirt OVER the dress, not under the dress.
In my TikTok video, I showcased 3 different ways of playing with these items including layering the black tulle skirt OVER the dress.
The dress is from Just Be Youtiful, the sheer blouse was worn recently, and the tulle skirt worn with zebra print.
I accessorized with red booties, a red, thrifted belt, a red pin (that went wonky after I put it on), and red shoulder scraping earrings made by my friend, Judy.
Christmas Eve
We’ve been lucky with the weather, so while I wanted to layer, I could still have bare legs.
I wore this green sweater dress that I even wore for my Elf inspiration years ago.
Then I layered this gold blazer over it (you saw it for New Year’s Eve back in 2018). And layered a faux fur vest over the blazer.
Layering a vest over a blazer or jacket is one of my favorite tricks.
Then I wore leopard boots and put all of my girl “Darling Dolls” on a chain necklace. More ideas for that DIY necklace concept are soon to be on the blog.
Boxing Day
Today’s outfit was put together around the pink shoes. I’m taking Mom to the dentist, and Thursday is pink shoe day for them. So Mom and I thought we would participate.
I wore my faux leather wide pants along with a striped tee and white sweater vest. Then I added this pink ombre sequin jacket that I found thrifting in the kid’s section.
A sparkle belt and sparkle decorations on my glasses complete the look.
Friday
We were off to Zumba yet we would also be running errands. So these leggings are good for both. I have on a t-shirt under the pink sweater which is what I’ll wear for Zumba.
I doubled the pink fuzzy pieces on top with a vest over the sweater.
Then I added bling pins on both sides of the edges of the vest.
They match the embellishment on my flats (which were an amazing deal under $13 plus use my code COMFY10 for an extra 10% off).
