Daily Looks: Week Ending 1.3.25

I still think that taking daily outfit photos behooves all of us. In fact, after the photos on Tuesday, I switched necklaces because they seemed off in the photos. If you get my email, then I showcased the change.

This month, I’m incorporating a SIMPLE SWAP feature in my emails to keep us as healthy as we can be. With my free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

SATURDAY

It was an “at home” day where we would be taking down the Christmas decor. But that doesn’t mean I can’t look cute, right?

I grabbed these snowflake tights (worn in Denver before) and added my black leather shorts with them.

I had to wear these fabulous sneakers I just purchased at DSW for $25 (they were having a 50% off their clearance, in-store only).

Then I wore this pink sweatshirt (found in the kids section of JCPenny) and a headband worn as a scarf (styled as a headband for shopping).

I just washed my hair today which is why it’s very, very curly. Recently I shared how it looks without ANY product on Instagram.

SUNDAY

I found this vintage dress thrifting this summer and intended to wear it for my birthday… oops.

Make sure to check out this dress styled in a basic way vs my extra way.

The shoes inspired the outfit recently snagged up at DSW’s sale. They remind me of a Monet painting.

I layered a top under the dress (a peasant blouse seen when all three of us bought the same top).
Because the top has 3/4 length sleeves, I added my favorite faux fur wristlets for warmth.

And the faux fur scarf held together with a bling pin.

I also wrapped a crystal necklace that was originally my Aunt Nancy’s around my wrist to be a bracelet.

MONDAY

I was inspired by Mireille to wear jeans. I have a ton of jeans but they aren’t my go-to most days.

Maybe because I always want an “over the top” outfit and jeans seem so boring in that arena.

But there are ways to make a denim outfit more fun. I cuffed these jeans myself and wore this orange cardigan buttoned up as a top. (I wore this orange cardigan as a cardigan in the past).

Then I added this fur-collared duster over it and let the orange cuffs stick out (I really like that detail).

My sequin booties made another appearance (I’ve worn them multiple times over the last months) along with silver statement earrings.

TUESDAY

I wanted to wear these fun, crochet-patched green jeans again, and my goal was to winterize this crochet cardigan that I usually wear in the spring or summer.

Then I wanted a more unique color pairing with the green jeans, so I opted for this purple turtleneck.

I layered 2 statement necklaces, but after seeing this photo, I changed out the bib necklace for a multi-strand white one (I included the photo in my email)

The booties pull it all together and counteract the boho-ness with a little sass.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Even though we weren’t doing anything today, I wanted to challenge myself style-wise.

FYI: Styling an outfit even on stay-home days is like a dress rehearsal for when you go out.

I rarely wear a monochromatic outfit, so I figured I’d work on it. One of the secrets is texture, so I layered this faux fur jacket (seen here years ago) over this lilac sweater dress (worn under a green jacket here).

My accessories and shoes are gold and maximalized.
Total: 3 brooches on the jacket (seen up close in the title photo)
2 necklaces layered
1 chain belt
Clip-on earrings on my Mary Janes.

FRIDAY

I love the color combination of bright pink and orange. But then I layered a bronze sequin top over the orange sweater so it’s not so “in your face”, yet still fun and interesting.

I wore my color-blocked pink booties and accessorized with a variety of clear glass necklaces and earrings.

I’m trying out some new places to take my daily photos and hope you’ll give me your feedback.

I thought this might be too busy, but Rob thought it was apropos.
