Will You Test New Ideas for Successful Business Growth?

Long ago, the common theme in Technology was that ‘reboot’ or refresh is essential when a computer malfunctions. However, the thought is eternal as many of us will personally feel a stalemate to realize it’s time for us as individuals to reboot. The willingness to seriously consider the facts surrounding us can open doors, presenting new possibilities on higher planes.

Most feel happy and relieved when the stressful part of building a business is behind us. Similarly, relief is theirs when one lands a long-awaited title in an organization. We figured out what we must do to enjoy the good times ahead. But sadly, that is an erroneous assumption.

Many people ignore the fact that improvements are always necessary. Otherwise, we face a dilemma requiring us to find alternative means to occupy our time. Our blog question is, will you test new ideas for successful business growth?

My Story

Each business will typically enjoy a growth spurt and suddenly seem to slow down. Issues arise as strategies need to play out how we expect. Watching the markets, the large companies indicate they also face challenging times until their problems are resolved. One of the better indicators of an issue at hand is the drop in their stock price. They must be innovative to remain ahead of the curve. Smaller companies that heed the model do well.

Those who do nothing about a poor outcome or hope things will improve independently soon need to close shop. Business growth requires ongoing attention to detail and strategy for long-term growth, no matter the size of the company or industry focus.

Several approaches come to mind for uncovering an idea(s) within an organization to make the new effort worthwhile:

  • Confirm what we find most appealing.
  • Strategize privately upfront on how to make an idea work.
  • Gather teams in for a discussion to add their thoughts.
  • Gain a consensus on the better way to proceed.
  • Create a workflow program to see the concept through to completion.
  • Establish checkpoints for further assurance it will work.

Smaller companies and entrepreneurs can do similar within their budgets. The process begins by gathering ideas from colleagues and partners upfront to refine the more appealing ideas. Like large companies, a detailed outline for a workflow process plus a sincere commitment with target dates to make it happen is vital.

Your Story: Ideas for Successful Business Growth

Surely, ideas have come and gone regarding what you can do better and what might come next. But the underlying question is, are you taking action to improve and move forward? Ignoring possibilities will only put one behind the times.

For all plans, it’s essential to have a formal one with timelines for achieving milestones to accomplish the bigger picture. A recurring thought requires serious consideration regarding moving forward with it.

Take the Challenge

For example, let’s look at Employment at a large company. You may have diligently worked long and hard to gain recognition and promotion finally. You feel relief and are proud that you made it!

Typically, one only figures in some new learning necessary to do a good job and earn further recognition. Moreover, many promotions lead to having a team to train, motivate, and monitor to ensure you produce a better outcome for upper management. In other words, the work has only begun.

Similarly, when a business reaches a new plateau, the leadership is buried in research and work to be welcomed among peers. The goal is to continue to be seen as a leader in the field while building networks and creating new services.

At some juncture, it is necessary to consider hiring new people and formulating a plan to train them adequately. Next, it’s essential to think about the type of team you want to develop that will encourage an inclusive environment and ongoing conversations. Again, the work has only begun.  The question again is, will you test new ideas for successful business growth?

In Conclusion: Test New Ideas for Successful Business Growth

Consideration of new ideas is essential to realize the better ones for growth. However, the consistency of implementation with tracking performance and the willingness to test, research better applications, and test again will increase the likelihood of success. Once you reach a plateau, take a short break to enjoy the achievement, but promise yourself to return to business quickly and take the challenge to rise to the next level!

Elinor Stutz International Best-Selling Author

Elinor Stutz broke through barriers long before doing so was popular. Against all the odds, she defied the theme “women can’t sell” to become the top producer at every company she ever worked for, ignoring attempts to get her to quit.

Eleven years later, I lay motionless on a stretcher with an irreparably broken neck. Two visions appearing before me, and a brilliant gold light encasing my entire body, gave me a reason to believe I would recover. I wholeheartedly knew I was about to empower audiences far and wide. At the moment, I negotiated a full recovery with the promise to be of service. The surgeon and hospital staff anointed me with the title “The Walking Miracle.”

As the CEO of Smooth Sale, Stutz adapted the motto, “Believe, Become, Empower.” Believe in yourself; Become the person you envision; Empower your audience to do the same. Stutz is on the Social Media Committee for Inclusion Allies Coalition devoted to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
