Once again, there are two sides to every topic, conversation, and approach to how we expect to succeed. In today’s environment, caution is a necessity. Otherwise, clicking on a seemingly credible link proving to be otherwise can lead us where no one wants to go. In this instance, curiosity will not work in your favor, only to get the best of you.

The better model is to concentrate on the giving part of curiosity. And underlying details of each segment may add to the confusion until we sort out our unique direction. Not doing so will have one fading into the crowded playing field while emphasizing one’s unique approach to business and life will attract those possessing similar ideals.

One Life

We are gifted one life, and we must live it without regret. From childhood, through attempting to get hired and advance our careers, we frequently find the need to deal with unwelcoming commentary. The choice is to either drop all our unique ideas to fit in with the plan of others or embrace our vision and go for it with everything we have.

Our uniqueness sets the tone for advancing our careers and companies; you may refer to it as your brand, owned only by you. The next step for the business is to apply the appropriate logo for your brand to all visible communications. Having our values and priorities in place, focusing on what we want to achieve, and the all-out pursuit for doing so empowers building a notable brand that creates curiosity in our audience to learn more.

What If?

The question, ‘What if?’ helps examine an idea from multiple angles. We can then weed out the poor ones and embrace the better. Applying the suggestions above to every new product, service, and strategy can help create a lucrative business. But to get to the position of ‘lucrative’ takes much more work behind the scenes by quietly asking ourselves, what if?’ Testing ideas with a willingness to correct errors as we proceed is essential for realizing what works best for us.

Take note of the phrase, what works best for each of us. The consideration of helping others comes with the hard fact that not everyone will appreciate our story-share or suggestions for improving efforts. At this juncture, we enter the stage of what sales representatives encounter on their initial sales appointments with their prospects.

Empower Others

We find the bonus in serving communities by sharing our best and worst experiences as learning points for younger generations. Experience through the years contributes to a treasure trove of insights regarding what to avoid and adapt to today’s standards.

Upon walking along a trail, I noticed a deer enjoying the Growth. But suddenly, curiosity caught the attention of the deer upon hearing me walk by. The look on the deer’s face demonstrates curiosity to me.

It’s necessary to take ownership of mishaps to improve our habits and adapt new methods for conducting business. People new to business or a career path often face rejection. Should the quick dismissals be too much for you, it’s best to review all the events leading up to the disappointment and realize a commonality between the episodes. Those who take ownership of making an error will benefit the most. They seek out a better method to improve their results. 

Another attribute of many salespeople is that of talking far too much. When a person continually talks, they omit the possibility of showing their curiosity upfront or having curiosity work in their favor. The better approach is using questions, hearing the answers, and asking more questions for clarification. Most prospective clients are impressed when they detect a representative wants to learn more about their position and company instead of strictly focusing on the sale.

Empower Yourself

Typically, the people we help are younger. Their learning, training, and experiences are vastly different from ours. Every opportunity to ask them a question and improve upon your knowledge trove is a tremendous asset as you fill in the missing pieces of your repertoire.
