🔁 🔃 Brains matter because brain matter matters. Episode 32 of Women Making Moves is live.

When Dr. Krystal L. Culler, DBH, MA was told she couldn’t…well, she did. While experiencing the role of care giver, and then her own experience with brain health, she committed her life and career toward brain care for everyone.

Founded in 2020, Virtual Brain Health Center just turned 3 years old! Beginning her work in elder care, Dr. Krystal L. Culler, DBH, MA and her team just published a book for kids about brain health and is focused on the research and support to help brains to function optimally through the entire lifecycle.

“The mantra for my work has always been sharing brain care for everyone…it’s interesting to see how brain health shows up for everyone at different ages.”

Having started her work at 16 with kids, then pivoting into elder care, and now folding back in brain care for children we discussed how the work compares –

“We really looked at it with the idea of, what’s the research show if we’re talking about ways to take care of your brain and brain health, it’s back to the same basics – how we move, how we breathe, how we connect with others, engage our brain mentally (is the same sentiment across both with different messaging).”

“We’re building better brains together” – Dr. Krystal L. Culler, DBH, MA shares how it’s never just any one thing, or a one size fits all for each and that in today’s world it’s even more of a matter of intentionality and understand that a healthy diet includes all types of consumption beyond food.

On how the pandemic has shifted brain health from when major research started in the 80’s –

“Leaders and organizations like the WHO (World Health Organization) have noted, social health is just as important as physical or mental health but we (society) didn’t place as much value on that and then we all lived through this collective experience that caused a shift”

Virtual Brain Health Center and Dr. Krystal L. Culler, DBH, MA are making a global impact that spans 70+ countries and 48 states.

When is the last time you thought about your brain?
