60 is the new 60

Turning 61 on August 25, I realize that 60 is simply the new 60, and that’s perfectly fine.

Today, both women and men are redefining what it means to grow older by focusing on living fully. Many of us at 60+ are active, engaged, working, and even eager to work. We try new things, work out, eat well, nurture meaningful Relationships, and prioritize our health. Even then, things aren’t always smooth.

Lately, I’ve been juggling life with various doctor appointments. Just today, I had a uterine biopsy due to a slightly thickened uterine lining and now await the results. There are a few more tests lined up, and I’m doing my best to stay chill. I’ve learned that I can’t bathe in the pool or ocean for two weeks post-biopsy, which I had no idea about. Thankfully, I can still work out!

So yes, in our 60s (and even earlier), we might face health challenges, regardless of how well we take care of ourselves. However, we can continue to live as if age doesn’t matter because, for many things, it truly doesn’t.

Feeling emotionally a bit under the weather today, I needed the reminder from this @katehewko dress to EXIST LOUDLY! You can snag it using code VIVA15OFF for $15 off at checkout, or take advantage of any other promo they have. Check my Linktree in bio for this and other discount codes.

And for those who think this isn’t how a 60-year-old woman should dress, I do it for me, not for you. 😀
