At 60 I don’t always know where I’m going
At 60 I still don’t have it all figured out and I kind of like it that way!
I may not know where I’m going but I’m certainly not revisiting the places I’ve been.
Every single challenge from growing up with Depression and Anxiety to being a single mom on welfare in my 40s helped me evolve.
The “bad” Relationships weren’t all bad. They each taught me something. I had a toxic relationship between the ages of 23 and 30, but that person (now deceased) opened doors to me professionally that got me in the door of – for example – adapting US sitcoms to Spanish and working in the ‘92 Barcelona Olympics.
Friendships that ended served their purpose. Gigs that are no more led the way to bigger projects.
At 60 I am still improving, still learning and launching new ventures. Follow my latest with my husband and business partner @phildiederich. It’s called @unlikelydetours and we don’t know where it will take us.
But you are welcome to come on the ride.
Do you also feel like you still have a lot to learn?
