As summer unfolds, bloggers enjoy vacations, gardens, and more

Garden July 2023 Img_2138I love the beautiful summer days here in the Seattle area. People are Streaming into Western Washington due to the mild weather, attractive as climate change worsens, and the job opportunities.

It’s so nice to be enjoying 70 degree weather as many areas of the country swelter.

I’m also appreciating my wonderful garden with its abundant Swiss chard and kale. And my raspberry patch is yielding its usual pints of raspberries to freeze.

My blogger friends also are enjoying summer and other happenings:

Laurie Stone of Laurie Stone Writes says her family usually goes to the same Cape Cod house each year, but this time, their place was no longer available. How to leave work behind

Now that it’s summer, Jennifer Koshak of Unfold and Begin wants to remind everyone how to vacation the right way. Find tips on how to leave work behind so you can really enjoy your vacation.

Endings may not be permanent

Carol Cassara of Carol A. Cassara Writer is interested in the topic of endings … specifically, an ending that reconnected after 26 years. It’s a reconnection made possible by forgiveness and recognition that some endings are necessary … but not necessarily permanent. Read about it in “How Endings Are Not Such a Bad Thing, After All.”

Exercise valuable for seniors

Rebecca Olkowski with BabyBoomster.com decided to take advantage of the Silver Sneakers Fitness program at her local gym that comes with her Medicare plan. She can tell you it’s not for sissies. Read about her experience with this program, here.

Partner appreciation

Diane Tolley of On the Border reports Husby turned 69 this week. She had many stories to choose from in honoring him. This is the one she chose. A memory from 10 years ago when she nearly lost him to pernicious anemia.
