In this dynamic episode, I sit down with Alan Tang, Co-Founder of CoLab, to explore how curiosity, creativity, and collaboration can revolutionize Education for the modern world.
Alan’s professional journey is anything but traditional—after six years in corporate Finance within the renewable energy sector, he pursued his passion for food as a chef in some of London’s top restaurants. Eventually, Alan combined his entrepreneurial spirit with his desire for balance, launching a consultancy to support startups as a fractional Chief of Staff. But it was his unexpected leap into education—first with Synthesis and then founding CoLab in 2021—that truly sparked his mission-driven work.
At CoLab (short for Collaboration Laboratory), students from around the globe engage in weekly challenges using games, puzzles, and escape room-style scenarios to build real-world skills like problem-solving, communication, and teamwork—all while having fun. Alan’s work is grounded in the belief that young people thrive when we trust their potential and empower them to lead.
