Carrie Aalberts, widely known as Dementia Darling, is a distinguished educator and passionate advocate for the dementia community. With a Master of Science specializing in Gerontology and over a decade of hands-on experience in various care settings, Carrie has established herself as a leading voice in dementia Education and support. As the founder of Dementia Darling, she has cultivated an online community of more than 63,000 followers, creating a nurturing space for caregivers to find education, resources, and support.
Carrie’s expertise has led to collaborations with renowned organizations, including membership in the AgeTech Collaborative from AARP, speaking at CES 2025, and serving on the Care Squad with Hilarity for Charity.
She has also partnered with Cleveland Clinic and played a main character in "Dementia Divas," the first TV show about dementia care. Carrie’s mission is to empower caregivers by fighting isolation, challenge prevailing narratives about dementia and Aging, and foster moments of joy.
As a full-time educator and advocate, she continues to push boundaries in dementia care, creating a movement that celebrates life and builds a supportive community.

Who am I?
Teresa is a seasoned Registered Nurse with almost 40 years of clinical and leadership experience. She is the founder and owner of A Better Approach to Memory Care and brings personal experience to her wealth of knowledge after spending a decade caring for her own Mom with Dementia. She has experience in many medical areas, including Emergency and Trauma, Labor and Delivery, OR, ICU, Medical Surgical, Rehab, Hospice, Home Care, IV Specialist, Private Duty Care, Caregiver Trainer, and Assisted Living and Memory Care Director. Once her Mom was showing symptoms she became a Certified Dementia Practitioner then went to North Carolina to train under Teepa Snow with Positive Approach to Care (PAC). She is still a Certified Independent Trainer with PAC. At A Better Approach to Memory Care, Teresa can be hired as a Speaker, Staff Trainer and Family Consultant. She also trains first responders like Fire and Emergency Medical Service providers.
