Today: A Depressive’s Positive Perspective with Cathelina Duvert
Cathelina Duvert has suffered with Depression long before she even understood what depression was. In an effort to alleviate her suffering, she treated her depression with acupuncture, talk Therapy, medication, Meditation, positive self-talk, Exercise and research to get a better understanding of what she was dealing with.
In July, she released her debut novel, The Box. The Box is about a high-powered magazine executive who attempts to understand her lifelong struggle with depression by trying to uncover the secrets her late mother left behind.
It’s a very special project that is near and dear to Cathelina’s heart because she uses her own personal experience as a catalyst for the main character’s internal conflict. The book also deals with themes of friendship, Relationships, betrayal and self-worth. It’s a very important book and will serve as a way to begin the conversation about how much depression can affect people and their loved ones.
