What not to wear after 60
At 61, I’ve worn it all—short shorts, cropped tops, platform shoes, bikinis, thongs (I grew up in Spain, where going topless at the beach is completely normal), body-con dresses, and more.
I wholeheartedly encourage young women to wear whatever makes them feel good, regardless of body shape or size. If you feel confident in what you’re wearing, that’s all that matters.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve let go of certain pieces in my wardrobe, only to bring them back later—like cropped tops and shorts. While my body may be Aging, my confidence is only growing. If someone doesn’t like seeing my aging skin, they can simply look away. It’s their problem, not mine.
In life, and especially in fashion, confidence is what people notice—whether it’s in your attitude or your clothing. That’s why I also encourage older women to wear whatever makes them feel good, regardless of body shape or size. As long as you’re happy, who cares what others think?
I’m obsessed with my latest sequin jacket from @clarasunwoo, which I paired with their knit/liquid leather leggings. I wore it this week to a photoshoot that I’ll be sharing more about in November! (Use code LCL for a discount—link in bio.)
And don’t even get me started on the comfy and stylish @inez Mila boots! I sized up a whole size from my usual pump size (I always do this for boots and athletic shoes). I’ve worn these boots to two photoshoots and a few dinners here in Florida, and I’m thrilled that I can actually walk in them! (Use code Lorraine15 for a discount—link in bio.)
