@MuyBuenoCooking and I discuss hot flashes
Did you know Hispanic women are generally less likely to talk about Menopause openly? Unfortunately, that doesn’t help our community!
Our moms and abuelas might not have shared much about hot flashes, mood swings, or brain fog, but we owe it to ourselves and our daughters to be vocal about what we’re going through.
Menopause is a journey every woman will face, whether naturally, surgically, or due to treatments like chemotherapy.
Interestingly, many Hispanic women prefer natural or Lifestyle approaches over hormone Therapy. This choice can impact how openly they discuss menopause with doctors. In contrast, White women report higher hormone therapy use and more frequent conversations with healthcare providers.
Also, did you know spicy foods can sometimes trigger or intensify hot flashes? Something to consider for those of us who love our chiles!
The key is having open conversations about our symptoms and finding ways to navigate this stage of life feeling empowered.
