Our Brother's Keeper with Romans Warrior Foundation

  1. Our Brother's Keeper with Romans Warrior Foundation HomeFront Sitrep 1:09:44

We, the Romans Warrior Foundation, are simple Patriots that want nothing more than to Honor those less than 1% that take the oath to protect our values as the United States of America. We are Fathers. We are Sons. We are Mothers. We are Daughters. We are Veterans. We are Combat Veterans. We are First Responders. We understand the sacrifice that families make in order to allow that less than 1% to serve our Nation. Its a support system. Its what we live by – “Family First!” We understand that “Helping is Healing” through our many initiatives designed to create an atmosphere to allow the introduction to healing by helping our Veteran, First Responder, or Gold Star Family member through their Trauma. How do we do this? The family dynamic creates a team. The Team creates the possibilities of ideas. Those ideas are cultivated into plans. Those plans transition into Goals. Those Goals are what makes the difference. It can be from the reintroduction to a name on the Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance to an opportunity for a grieving mother/father to see a child’s name in black, surrounded by their comrades. It is the Eagles scream across that open body of water, while the line pulls tight, alone in your vessel while surrounded by our team, knowing you are not alone. It is the song lyric that hits so close as a memory and the story that defines a moment in time when the world stood still, followed by a voice of reason pulling us back from the unforgiving flames.

We, the Romans Warrior Foundation, care and show through action, not mere words. We are literal boots on the ground, hands on, one to one at times, to break through the unseen, adapt and walk through that fire as one. Our methods are not traditional however, they are effective. Our team continues to transition, learn, and evolve to our environment in which our Veterans, First Responders and their families reside. We build our team with like-minded organizations to increase not only our reach but also our abilities to help those who often are the last to reach out and ask. We do not offer a hand out, just a hand up -> a hand to get back to that sense of purpose, back to a sense of unity, and become one, once again within a team.

You can be a part of our success. You can make that difference in a life, to bring that camaraderie back into that elusive soul. No more wonder, no more fear, for we are one, one team in one fight.

David Willis HomeFront Sitrep Podcast

My name is David Willis, I knew at a very early age that I was going into the military but didn’t know what branch. As I got older and started learning about each branch and quickly figured out that the Marines was the best. I served in the Marine Corps from 97-04. My MOS was 0311(infantry). I went to Paris Island for boot camp after boot camp I was stationed with 2nd blt 8th Marines Golf company. While with 2/8 I went on several deployments to port a prince Haiti, Okinawa, South Korea, Greece, also did two trips to Bridgeport California for cold weather training, I wasn’t going to make a Mediterranean float so I extended and joined 1st blt 8th Marines Bravo company. During my time there we deployed to the Mediterranean and had stops in Spain, Italy, Malta, Africa, and other ports. I got out of the Marines in August of 01, but 9/11 happened and was recalled to go back in where I was stationed with a mobilization support battalion and deployed.
