Sher embraces her uniqueness as someone with a recently discovered neurotype intersection of autism, giftedness, and ADHD. She’s passionate about transformative social change and the intricacies of liberation psychology. She is also the visionary founder and co-creator of The Compassion Collective, where she curates a diverse community of social misfits for the purpose of navigating the intersections of social exclusion, neurodivergence, and substance use disorders.

It was Sher’s idea to have a conversation about peacebuilding. I thought it was interesting that she considered my mission to grow a movement of self-reflecting humans as peacebuilding work. I hadn’t thought about it that way, but I was intrigued.
So today, Sher is going to be asking the questions and we’re going to chat about peacebuilding. In addition to becoming educated about the topic, I know you’ll be inspired to search out and get involved in movements that you might not think of as peacebuilding projects.
My other goal is for you to realize that exploring your unconscious and disarming your emotional reactions to other people results in your showing up in the world in differently. The once emotional reactions shift to more effective responses that can counter the momentum today experiencing in the spreading of extreme, rigid and stagnant ideas that are being expressed through aggressive and even violent means. We need to become aware of how we can be peacebuilders.
