Climate change is an issue that affects us all, regardless of age. Baby Boomers have witnessed significant environmental changes over their lifetimes. Understanding the cause and consequences of these changes can inspire proactive steps towards sustainable living and that is what our Experts in this area of the site are beginning to explore. Climate change affects our environment in many different ways, including rising temperatures, sea level rise, drought, flooding and just making life uncomfortable in many ways. Climate change affects many of the things we value and depend on like water, energy, transportation, agriculture, wildlife, ecosystems and human Health.
There is still hope for the future where we can lessen the impacts and severity of climate change. We can reduce emissions to zero as quickly as possible which will limit warming. We need to continue to improve the Technology and facilities that capture and process renewable energy. And we need to focus on human health by reducing heat and flooding which leads to the spread of diseases, injuries and death. Climate change should be our generation’s number one concern because if we do not address it now, there may never be a Legacy our Aging Baby Boomers can pass on to their children and grandchildren.
