Turning 80

 I will soon be 80 and many of my friends are hitting that milestone. So, to all those who have reached 80 and for all those who will, this post is for you.

Here are 20
positive things to consider when you turn 80:

    1.            You’ve
accumulated experiences and Wisdom that can guide others and help you.

2.             You
have created meaningful and lasting legacies through your accomplishments,
Relationships, and contributions to your community.

3.             You have
time for personal pursuits, hobbies, and interests that you’ve always wanted to
explore.

4.             You
may have a growing family with children, grandchildren, and even
great-grandchildren, creating a strong sense of family.

5.             You’ve
cultivated deep and enduring friendships that provide companionship and
support.

6.              Retirement
means you have left behind the demands of a full-time job and enjoy more
leisure time.

7.             Your free
time and fewer responsibilities give you an opportunity to explore new places
and have exciting new adventures.

8.             This
is a milestone that your loved ones can celebrate with you, making for a special
and memorable occasion.

9.             You’ve
gained a deep understanding of your own health and wellness, allowing you to
make educated choices about your well-being.

10.           You have
adapted to modern Technology, which allows you to stay connected with friends
and family, and explore the digital world.

11.           Finally,
you can engage in creative activities like painting, writing, music, or craft.

12.          You can
give back to your community by Volunteering your time, skills, and experience.

have a great sense of contentment and acceptance, allowing you to appreciate
the joys of life.

Time ahead gives you ample time to reflect on your life’s journey, appreciate your
achievements, and understand your personal Growth.

for your guidance, advice, and insights.

stable Lifestyle can lead to a reduction in Stress, allowing you to focus on
the things that bring you joy.

19.          Your
age is an accomplishment in itself, showcasing your resilience, determination,
and ability to navigate life’s challenges.

live life on your own terms, pursuing activities and interests that bring you
happiness and fulfillment.

Turning 80 is a
remarkable accomplishment, so you should celebrate the richness of your life

I served as a teacher, a teacher on Call, a Department Head, a District Curriculum, Specialist, a Program Coordinator, and a Provincial Curriculum Coordinator over a forty year career. In addition, I was the Department Head for Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a professor both online and in person at the University of Phoenix (Canada) from 2000-2010.

I also worked with Special Needs students. I gave workshops on curriculum development and staff training before I fully retired
