The Latest Belongings That I Can’t Live Without
Our Where Bloggers Live prompt for the month was self-care at home. Of course, I went rogue and wanted to share the 7 belongings that I can’t live without.
Would you consider that self-care? Maybe, if you include self-care to mean that you need to be fulfilled and have convenience in your life.

One of the reasons that I veered off of a traditional self-care article is because I found myself thinking about the items that have made such a difference in my life lately, yet I never knew that I needed them before.
It’s amazing how you can get along for ages doing the same thing, yet when you hear about one of these things I can’t live without, you realize how much better your life can be.
At least that’s how I feel.

So here are the 7 latest things I can’t live without.
1-Non Traditional Bras
Years ago, I would only wear tops that would accommodate my traditional bra. But in reality, that meant that so many of the cute, summer tops were not available to me.
Being limited in my choices is not something I appreciate.
So I went on a quest to find a comfy and functional strapless bra. I bought over 10 versions and shared them.
Fast forward 3 years later, and I now rely on 2 different types of non-traditional bras that allow me to wear all of the cute and flirty summer tops. And without feeling suffocated in a traditional strapless bra.
These are the two that work depending on the situation. Heck, I could write an entire article about the advantages, and disadvantages of each one, but I’ll try to keep it short.
- Boob tape-This works best in times when you need individual coverage and you don’t want the girls to move at all. The drawback is the tape gets thrown away after each use.
- Adhesive bra-This is reusable for over 40 times and stays in place even when sweating. The disadvantage is the girls don’t stay up as high.

2-Stand Up Desk
Sitting is the new smoking, right? That’s why both Rob and I purchased these adjustable standing desk risers.
Since we already had desks that we liked, we didn’t want to purchase an entire new desk. That’s what made these risers so convenient.
Insider tip: They don’t have our exact risers available now, but these are very similar in function and price.
Most of the time, we use them to stand at the computers, but it’s nice to have the option to lower it and sit.
3-Just Meats
While I realize that it’s not hard to cook meat, the fact is that it heats up the kitchen and takes time. That’s why I have been in LOVE with Just Meats since I discovered the brand.
Not only are they delicious and super convenient, they are also ethically sourced and super healthy.
Heck, we’ve purchased a similar brand from Sprouts and Aldi’s before, but many times there is added sugars and ingredients that we don’t want. And they aren’t delivered to your door.
Insider tip: We did find one of Just Meats flavors that had added sugar in the Raspberry Chicken. Otherwise, they have all had natural and healthy ingredients.
The convenience of pulling the package out of the freezer and having it ready to eat has been better than sliced bread. Especially in the heat of our summers. The last thing you want to do is heat up the kitchen by cooking.

4-Cord Organizer
Thanks to Joanne, from My Slices of Life, for talking about these cord organizers months ago. I immediately realized they were something I couldn’t live without and ordered a pack.
Insider tip: Not all cord organizers are created equal. After I realized how fabulous these were, I wanted a couple more to use on other appliances and thus ordered a smaller pack from another company. The new ones did NOT stick to the appliance and I returned them and reordered the original organizers.
Gone are the days when the cords are hanging down in front of other kitchen appliances and getting in the way.
That’s why I consider these a belonging I can’t live without.
5-Laundry Guard
Maybe it’s just because of how I pull out the laundry from the dryer, but this guard has made laundry less stressful.
Because I try to fold the laundry and stack it in the order I will put it away, the undies and socks get saved for the last.
While I try to leave them in the dryer until the last, sometimes they come out, and it’s so easy to just sling them in the corner so they aren’t in my way.
There’s no worrying about items landing behind the washer and dryer where I have to use a hanger to snag them.

6-Live Without Piper? Never
The photo says it all, right?
But in all reality, Piper has been good for us for so many reasons.
- We walk more! So much more that we both lost 5 pounds.
- Being outside in the morning sun has been shown to be beneficial for our health.
- We have met new people just out walking and at our training classes.
- Unconditional love. Yes, Monkey loves us too, but you know how cats are different than dogs. As Rob always says, “She’s the best dog ever.”
7-Pet Hair Remover
I bought this pet hair remover even before we got Piper. It’s incredible for getting cat or dog fur out of the rugs, off the couch, and all of that.
Heck, I have vacuumed my rugs and then STILL gotten more hair off it with this tool.
Not that I am a clean freak, but it’s been indispensable.
