Dave, you’re a Legend!
MOVEMBER Gratitude
I’m not a legend in my own mind…Nor is my feather duster a mustache of legends.
This post’s title line came from an organizational thank-you for my annual contribution to the international MOVEMBER Movement.
That Movement publicizes sad, yet often preventable, aspects of men’s mental and physical well-being. Aspects with descriptors like: too young and too deadly.
Did you know that U.S. men experience prostate Cancer at about the same rate as do women for breast cancer?
- And …Men are at higher risk for suicide.
- And…Men are generally outlived by women.
As Movember.com offers about Nuts and Bolts:
“Testicular cancer is the most common type of cancer in young men” aged 30-39.
About 1 out of 250 men and boys will be diagnosed with the disease during their lifetimes. Catch this rare Cancer early, and chances are very, very good that survival will follow. Ask Lance Armstrong…
A PSA for PSA
My episodic public service announcements (PSA #1) share peer-to-peer science-backed and sweat-based outcomes. Enticing, encouraging, or imploring guys to get both their Overall and FreeTestosterone and Prostate Specific Antigen(PSA #2) lab results is my hope. Knowledge can be powerful, as early recognition of lab “markers” can literally be a matter of life beating premature death… I have written about Mister “T” previously, so my focus today is on that darned diminutive, donut-shaped organ that surrounds a guy’s urethra.
A guy’s prostate gland, when healthy, is about 3 × 3 × 5 cm approximately or a volume of 25 ml. We can and do make jest about this organ and a Doctor’s fickle finger of fate:

Doctors have told me that ALL men develop some stage of prostate cancer as they age. Yet the Grim Reaper may visit a mature guy for a more likely cause like cardiovascular weakness, or CoVid-19.
So, let’s help those Boomers from the planet MARS to thrive and strive with lessened mental Stress, and better “nuts.”
By the way, ladies can acknowledge MOVEMBER as well! This organization gladly accepts charitable contributions from ladies too!
Be legends, Darlene, Daisy, and Deb!
A always, take care of yourself, be grateful, and use these autumn days to anti-age, whether you are from Venus or Mars.
