Recovery is as important as strength training as we age

Recovery matters more than ever as we get older.

I recently took advantage of a complimentary week-long pass at @jeffersonfitsrq and enjoyed every minute of it.

I Love strength training, but at 62 I’ve learned that recovery is where the magic happens.

When I was younger, I could push through soreness and bounce back quickly. These days, I’m more intentional about giving my body what it needs so I can keep showing up, lifting, and doing the things I love.

One of the things I appreciated most about Jefferson Fit was that recovery isn’t an afterthought. After a workout, I could take advantage of Halo Light Therapy, compression therapy, cold plunges, the sauna, and red light therapy, all under one roof.
