Why I work out at 61

I’m so grateful I started working out as a kid and never stopped. Working out has helped with my mental, physical, and emotional health, and at 61 it serves me well in daily life.

The first two clips are using @tonal which I have installed at home (it’s a great piece of fitness equipment – affiliate link in bio) and the last one is clearing our backyard after hurricane Milton downed a couple of trees (one went through our roof).

I am absolutely thrilled that I don’t have to consider whether I can do this or that in real life because I train my body for strength and mobility.

Whether like me you enjoy exercising, or not, I’d encourage you to start working out whether you are young or old, because we don’t need to enjoy something to benefit from it.

How many things do you do in a week that you don’t enjoy but you do because you have to? This, in Yoga, is called “tapas” or discipline.
