Co-founded by Maia Shanklin Roberts, Tau Shanklin Roberts, Camille Hall, Nick Hall, and Imani Shanklin Roberts, Shanklin Hall addresses the cultural displacement caused by gentrification and provides an inclusive space for connection and expression. Yarok is raising funds on . Founded by Mordechai Alvow, a master stylist and certified aromatherapist, Yarok revolutionizes haircare with plant-based, chemical-free formulas that are 100% vegan and free from alcohol, parabens, sulfates, and gluten. Established in 2010, Yarok has garnered attention from top-tier outlets like Vogue and Sports Illustrated and has been used by celebrities such as Naomi Watts and Gretchen Mol.
The company’s products are sold online, on Amazon, and through premium salons and retailers. Yarok has achieved a 46%+ Growth in website sales from 2023 to an estimated 2024 and reduced its Total Advertising Cost of Sales (TACoS) from 19% to 11% in the same period. Its innovative product line includes scalp care devices, plant-based shampoos, conditioners, and eco-friendly hair solutions. Additionally, Yarok donates 3% of its profits to environmental organizations, emphasizing its commitment to sustainability.
The current crowdfunding campaign has a minimum target of $124,000. Campaign proceeds will be used for new product development, inventory expansion, and marketing efforts, including launching the Yarok TheraScalp device and other sustainable haircare innovations.
