Tony’s Story:
My name is Tony Laudadio, and I am a cancer warrior. I was first diagnosed in my 20s with Stage 3 renal cell carcinoma in July 2013, losing my right kidney and missing months of work. Just as I was recovering, I had two seizures and was diagnosed with unrelated brain cancer on September 24, 2015.
I underwent a rare and successful “awake craniotomy” for Oligodendroglia Grade 3 brain cancer, followed by 18 months of brain radiation, physical Therapy, and chemotherapy. My cancer is currently stable, but the fight continues.
I strive to maintain a positive attitude, inspired by my grandpa, who faced multiple cancers, with a smile and laughter. I approach cancer like a competitive challenge, showing my friends and family how to confront adversity with hope and resilience.
