Beyond the Super Bowl | David Bruton, Jr.

  1. Beyond the Super Bowl | David Bruton, Jr. Sasha Graham 39:35

This week on Sports Will Save Us All, Sasha is talking to the extraordinary Dr. David Bruton Jr, former NFL safety and Super Bowl 50 champion with the Denver Broncos. But David is even more than a football star—he’s a dynamic human with layers that go far beyond the gridiron. From becoming a young father while balancing football and pre-med studies at Notre Dame, to navigating the complexities of the NFL locker room as a former sociology major, to pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy after his NFL Retirement, David shares how his diverse experiences have shaped who he is today. In this candid conversation, David and Sasha talk about David’s NFL journey, playing on a broken leg, the transition from football to a career in physical therapy, and the deeply personal work he does through his nonprofit, Bruton’s Books. David’s passion for Education and community outreach led him to become the 2015 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, and now, ten years later, he’s continuing to inspire others with his mission to help children “learn to read and read to learn.” Sports fam, you can find Dr. Bruton’s physical therapy office online  at betweenthelinespt.com and on Instagram @betweenthelines_pt and you can find David on instagram @d_brutjr30
