We’re all missing someone on Christmas

Most of us are missing someone at Christmas! (Español abajo)

Only one of our three kids is home today – the youngest – but we talked to the other two and my beautiful daughter-in-law in California on FaceTime and exchanged gifts from afar.

Our extended family lives in different cities and even countries (mine is mostly in Spain) but we use WhatsApp and Facetime and videos to share the holiday cheer.

My sister Laura usually comes to spend the holidays with us from California and we always look forward to her stay! She is the best guest ever and is a great sport as you can see in this video!

Of course, we also miss those who are no longer with us, but they are here in some way, whether it’s a holiday tradition they started or just a memory, whether it’s fond or maybe funny because back in the day it was not!

No matter what you celebrate, we wish you find even the smallest shred of joy. From our family to yours, ¡Feliz Navidad! The matching PJs were courtesy of my Haitian mother-in-law!
