Sometimes I too feel bad about my neck at 61

I’m only human, and there are moments when I catch a glimpse of my neck or notice other loose bits and think, Darn, I’ve really aged!

But I’ve found the best antidote to those “oh crap” moments is to focus on nurturing my mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Sure, I have bad days like everyone else, but when I’m on the Yoga mat, dancing, or working out at the gym, those thoughts melt away. I forget about my neck, my worries—everything.

Yoga has taught me to look inward, and that reflection reminds me I’d rather be the woman I am today than any version of myself in the past.

We all have our ways of challenging ageism, especially self-ageism. For me, it’s about showing up for myself—inside and out—and building a strong mind, body, and soul.

Like most people my age, I’ve had my share of injuries and setbacks, but I keep moving forward. And if I ever feel tempted to dwell on my neck, I lift my chin, smile, and carry on.

What about you? How do you embrace the Aging journey?
