Life has a way of keeping us on our toes. One minute you’re on top of the world, and the next, you’re knee-deep in life’s messy middle. Trust me—I’ve been there many times.
I’ve had my share of tumbles—whether it was navigating the tough days as a single mom on welfare, wrestling with clinical Depression, or figuring out what this new semi-empty-nester chapter even looks like.
There were times when I thought, “Well, this is it. I’m down for the count.” But nope! Each stumble became a chance to rise a little higher.
Whether challenging myself with arm balances at 61, attaining my first pull-up, or just dancing my heart out after two hurricanes and a whirlwind of personal stuff—I’ve learned that what goes down CAN bounce back.
After 11 days in Madrid visiting family and friends, getting sick in the midst of it all, and now prepping to go back to Florida, I feel I got the reset I needed after a tough month of January.
So, here’s to bouncing back, embracing the wild ride, and never underestimating the power of a good jump for joy when it returns!
What have you overcome that makes you feel good about yourself?
