1. 48. Men and Eating Disorders with Alex Rodriguez Freedom with Food and Fitness 38:01

Alex Rodriguez (he/him) is an accredited practicing dietitian who practices with genuine empathy, curiosity and compassion for his clients. He aims for his practice to be gentle, supportive, and as collaborative as possible throughout working together. He holds a significant passion for the eating disorders space, stemming in part from his own lived experience of recovering from an eating disorder. He firmly believes that full recovery is possible for everybody, and re-building one’s relationship with food is one of the many special pieces of the recovery journey. Alex is grateful to also be an ambassador for the Butterfly Foundation, where he has, and continues to share his lived experience in many advocacy settings, to build awareness, understanding and hope for all who are part of someone’s eating disorder journey.

In his spare time, the ex-Melbourne boy will probably be outdoors in the beautiful QLD sunshine, Moving his body, cooking or cheering on the Brisbane Lions. Alex is looking forward to completing his sports dietitian qualification at the end of 2023 to pursue more work with those who have sporting nutrition goals.
