In this episode of the EZ Conversations Podcast, Furkhan sits down with Richard Ramos, founder of Parents on a Mission, to discuss crucial issues surrounding modern parenting. They explore themes such as the decline of the nuclear family, the erosion of parental authority, and the impact of growing up in challenging environments. Richard shares his personal journey from a troubled youth in Northeast Los Angeles to becoming a mentor for at-risk youth and the inspiration behind starting Parents on a Mission. The conversation delves into the importance of instilling values, role modeling, the challenges posed by modern Technology, and the misguided notion that ‘it takes a village’ to raise children. Richard emphasizes the paramount role of parents in shaping their children’s future and offers practical advice on creating a nurturing and value-driven home environment. The episode concludes with Richard introducing his resources, including books, Online Courses, and an AI-driven tool to assist parents.
