Durham: There were 2,455 violent crimes like murders and robberies and over 11,000 property crimes. People in Durham have a higher chance of being a victim compared to the national average. This is concerning for those who know people living there.

Henderson: Henderson is called the “murder capital” of North Carolina. Even though it has around 15,000 people it has a lot of crime. There were 303 violent crimes including 10 murders and 855 property crimes. People in Henderson have a higher chance of being a victim of crime. This shows the need for better safety measures in the community.

Fayetteville: Fayetteville is one of the most dangerous cities in North Carolina. In 2022 there were 2,065 violent crimes and 7,240 property crimes. People in Fayetteville have a higher chance of becoming a victim of crime. This is not just numbers it means real people are facing challenges and fears. More needs to be done for the safety and well-being of the residents.

Greensboro: Greensboro is considered dangerous because of its high crime rate. There were 2,713 violent crimes, including 59 murders, and 10,880 property crimes. People in Greensboro have a higher chance of becoming a victim of any type of crime. The numbers highlight the need for better safety in the community.

Whiteville: With 5,000 people, there is a high chance of becoming a victim of crime. Property crimes like burglaries happen a lot. Drug activity adds to the problems in the city. It’s not just numbers real people’s lives are disrupted by crime.

Gastonia: People in Gastonia have a higher chance of becoming a victim of violent crime or property crime. In 2022 there were 726 violent crimes and 3,173 property crimes. These numbers represent real people and stories affected by crime.

Rockingham: Gangs and drugs contribute to the problem. In 2022, there were 66 violent crimes and 410 property crimes. Crime is a significant issue in Rockingham.

Reidsville: Reidsville is small but dangerous too. With 14,125 people it has a high crime rate. People have a higher chance of becoming a victim of violent or property crimes. In 2022 there were 138 violent crimes. The numbers show the community is dealing with safety challenges.

Albemarle: With 16,628 people, it has a high crime rate. People have a higher chance of becoming a victim of crime. Factors like poverty and lack of jobs contribute to the issues. In 2022, there were 156 violent crimes reported.

Lumberton: Lumberton is the most dangerous city in North Carolina. With a population of 19,025, it has a very high crime rate. People have a 1 in 27 chance of becoming a victim. Property crimes are common and violent crime is a significant problem. Drug activity is a big reason for the high crime levels.
