Tucson a home to the University of Arizona with a crime rate 69% above the national average. Despite decreasing trends a shocking 2022 case involving the kidnapping and killing of two girls highlighted ongoing challenges.

Tempe, Arizona

Tempe known for its vibrant scene struggles with a crime rate 73% higher than the U.S. average driven by gang activities. In 2022 the city recorded 1,152 violent crimes and 7,672 property crimes.

Phoenix, Arizona
