Walking With Others
Sharing knowledge is the most fundamental act of friendship. Because it is a way you can give something without losing something.
~Richard Stallman
Billy, a loving and loyal dog, became an internet star in 2020. His owner, Russell, had broken his ankle and was using crutches to walk. Soon the dog also began to hobble when walking with his owner. Concerned, Russell took Billy to the vet, who said there was nothing wrong with him! He ran freely when he was by himself. It turned out that the dog faked a limp when he walked with his owner. An amazing example of two spirits overcoming challenges as one.
Celebrating 1,000+ Contributors
Well, we’ve had the honor of walking with so many others over the past decade-plus, overcoming any number of challenges in our quest to build something different, something unconventional, and indeed, something “for good” … The foundation of this incredible journey has been laid one special brick at a time —each representing a treasured writer/contributor ready and willing to show up and freely share their infinite knowledge and Wisdom of experience. It has truly been an extraordinary “gift” for us and for our global audience, as all of those bricks now total a thousand plus!
The best moments in our lives are not the passive receptive relaxing times…the best moments usually occur when a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile.
~Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
So it is with deep appreciation that we extend our sincere thanks to every one of our talented Columnists, Featured Contributors, and Legacy Contributors who’ve provided us with those “best moments”, allowing us to use the gift of their wisdom to build a solid foundation of knowledge “for good.”
Ps. And for those who often ask, how can we help? We’d love to be able to complete our circle of wisdom by noting that we’ve got writers on EVERY continent –so if you can send one our way from Antarctica (penguin scribes welcome ;-), we’d very much appreciate it!
